The Lake Rotokare Walkway is a 4 km walking track that circles the lake. The first 600 metres feature boardwalks around the wetlands, which include a boardwalk out to a floating viewing pontoon. The boardwalk up until the pontoon is wheelchair accessible, and many visitors only walk as far as the pontoon and then return.
